Calizas Marinas S.A. es un proyecto, ya realidad, del sector mejillonero gallego donde está representada la práctica totalidad del sector, concretamente 43 empresas, entre las que se encuentran empresas productoras, depuradores, cocederos e industrias fabricantes de conservas de pescados y mariscos, contando además con el apoyo de la Xunta de Galicia a través de las Consellerías de Pesca y Medio Ambiente.

Es una industria pionera en el mundo y supone la aplicación de I+D+i en el sector productor y transformador de productos del mar en Galicia.
